You will never rise from the ashes of your shame and humiliation!
Some ATLA nostalgia (and my dash needed some Zhao).
Don’t mind Asami working late to invent the power wheelchair for a friend.
Left something scribbly for once oh no.
wowowow tenzin your friend is trying to look out for you why you gotta make it weird
( I’ll never get over my swimsuit thing for her, you gotta deal :V )
I love the relationship between Tenzin and Korra because they’re so honest about themselves with each other, they trust each other to understand how the other feels, they never mince words. When Korra is upset or frustrated, even if she has done wrong to Tenzin prior to it, he’ll still try to cheer her up the best way he can, completely ignoring her wrong doings for the time being so he can comfort her now.
If Tenzin is in the wrong he has no qualms about going to Korra and apologize and Korra is mature enough to not hold it against him. They understand each other really well and even when they err, they know how to fix their own problems, alone or together.
But then there are times when I wish Tenzin would be more strict with Korra, like, even though Unalaq was the one influencing Korra to open the gates, even though he’s still the number one reason why everything got fucked up, Korra still messed up by trusting in him -a stranger- over her father, mother AND Tenzin to boot. Then when Korra says she’s sorry and that she shouldn’t have done that, Tenzin babies her and says “nooo, it’s not your fault”.
Like, no, Tenzin, stop. It was her fault. It’s possible to acknowledge that without being harsh on her. Because it’s understandable that he doesn’t want to be harsh on her because that’s the last thing she needs right now and that would destroy her morale, but saying “everything is okay” and “you did nothing wrong” is not the right way to go about it either.
Let alone that Korra completely broke Tenzin’s trust when she shoved him off as a bad teacher and picked Unalaq instead. Tenzin politely accepted her decision, but just as Bumi said, he was frustrated that she would do such a thing. They have history together, Tenzin’s already proven that he’s the best teacher she could’ve piqued, and she still left him for a stranger.
Idk man, I love Korra, she has her flaws and she oftens recognizes her own faults whenever she does wrong, but I wish someone would point it out to her instead of her just figuring them out on her own all the time like she’s omniscient. She’s the avatar sure, but she’s also a teenager and young and barely able to contact the spirit world for knowledge. She needs someone to point things out for her sometimes, I’m just saying.
